Is your door doing this?

Common Problems
We Fix Every Day.

Homeowners across NE Florida call us for these exact issues. If your sliding glass door is doing any of these, we can repair it.

Roller Damage

Worn or rusted bottom rollers make your door drag, scrape, or refuse to move.

Off-Track Sliding

Door jumps the rail or won't seat properly when closed.

Bent Tracks

Aluminum bottom track is grooved, dented, or warped from years of use.

Broken Handles

Loose, snapped, or wobbly handle assemblies and stripped spindles.

Failed Locks

Mortise lock body worn out, won't latch, or strike plate misaligned.

Shattered Glass

Cracked, fogged, or shattered IGU panels - same-day board-up available.

Mortise Lock Repair
Mortise Lock Repair

The mortise lock is the rectangular lock body buried inside the edge of your sliding glass door. When the handle spins freely, the door won't latch, or the key won't turn, the internal cam or spring has failed — not the whole door. We stock OEM-grade mortise lock bodies, keepers, and strike plates for every major patio door brand (Pella, Andersen, Milgard, PGT, CGI, and 1980s–2000s Florida builder doors) and swap them out with a written 2-year warranty.

Roller & Track Work
Roller & Track Work

Worn bottom rollers are the #1 reason a sliding glass door gets hard to open. Florida's salt air corrodes the steel bearings, the wheels flatten, and the door starts dragging on the track — which then gouges the aluminum. We replace the tandem rollers with stainless steel salt-air-rated assemblies, cap or re-machine the damaged track, and re-shim the door so it glides with one finger. Most roller jobs are done same-visit on the truck.

Glass Replacement
Glass Replacement

Foggy glass, a cracked panel, or a shattered slider all point to the insulated glass unit (IGU) — the sealed double-pane inside the frame. The frame itself is fine; only the glass needs to come out. We measure on site, order a matching tempered or hurricane-impact IGU, and re-glaze the existing panel — typically 30–60% less than replacing the whole door. Emergency board-up available the same day for broken panels.

The honest answer

Should You Repair
Or Replace?

Usually the right call

Repair

A flat written quote on site — typically about 10–15% of what a full replacement would run. Final price depends on what's actually wrong with your door and the size of the panel.

  • ~10–15% of replacement cost
  • Flat quote based on diagnosis + door size
  • Done in 1-3 hours
  • Backed by 2-year warranty

When it makes sense

Replace

A major project — multi-day install with permit. A new installed sliding glass door in NE Florida typically runs $3,500–$8,500, or $6,500–$15,000+ for hurricane-impact rated. Only worth it when the frame itself is destroyed.

  • $3,500–$8,500+ installed (standard)
  • $6,500–$15,000+ (hurricane-impact)
  • Frame is rotted or bent
  • Major remodel scope
